Hill takes Knoxville Central job

Former Jefferson County and Morristown West basketball standout Andy Hill was named the new head boys basketball coach at Knox Central High School Monday afternoon, replacing former Tennessee star Jon Higgins, who left to become coach at Farragut High School.

Hill, who was most recently the head coach at Carter High School for two seasons, was an assistant coach for Ken Wright at Sevier County for a year before heading to Carter, and he was part of the Maury Middle School program for five years in which the Hornets won 82 percent of their games.
