2018 Boys Coaching Changes

Lawrence County High School graduate Nick Campbell, who spent five years as an assistant at his alma mater, has been named boys basketball coach at Columbia Central.

Central principal Roger White expects most to have to read that at least twice.

“I know we’re supposed to despise that purple and gold,” said White, who grew up playing and cheering against Lawrence County before graduating from Central in 1983. “But this guy’s a very talented kid, passionate about the game. He’s sat and watched and listened and learned from some of the best. He’s going to work hard.
